Why Coaching?
We’re passionate about helping you play better golf.
Every golfer enjoys the game more when they’re hitting good shots and playing well. This is our mission for you.
Think back to your last few rounds and try to pinpoint an area that cost you shots…
Maybe, you had too many three-putts as a result of poor distance control? Or did you miss too many fairways to the right meaning you had to chip out sideways? It could be that you play well in practice rounds with your friends but struggle to replicate that in competitions?
Through our experiences in the game and our PGA education, we appreciate that every golfer is different. That’s why we offer a range of lessons and packages to suit everyone.
Lessons will cover:
- Golf Fundamentals
- Swing Basics
- Short Game
- Long Game
- Course Management
Our Staff

Mark Stuart-William - Head Professional
My name is Mark Stuart-William, AA PGA Professional. I’ve been a qualified AA PGA Professional since 1998 and have proudly served as the Head Professional at The Dyke Golf Club since 2007. Like many in the profession, I started with the ambition of becoming the best player I could be, enjoying a successful playing career at county and regional levels. Today, my focus is on supporting our members and visitors, helping them enjoy and improve their golf experience. In my spare time, I even take on triathlons—for fun! With over 30 years of teaching experience, from beginners to Satellite Tour professionals, I’ve learned that coaching golf isn’t just about the swing—it's about understanding the individual. I take the time to assess each pupil's physical capabilities and build a swing that works for them, rather than copying one out of a book. For me, teaching is not about reciting technical terms, but about connecting with each player, finding what motivates them, and helping them stay positive through ups and downs. I aim to educate each pupil so they truly understand their own game, whether it's putting, pitching, or the full golf swing. Click on the lessons link and let’s start improving your golf today.
